Remote Learning

Remote Learning: A Window of the Future

The Bibb County School District has opened another Window of the future for students by launching the Remote Learning Option (RLO).

What are the benefits of RLO? First, RLO broadens the scope and moves teaching and learning beyond the classroom. With new devices issued (laptops), a new learning management system software (Canvas), etc. students have the opportunity to learn anytime and anywhere.

Second, RLO helps parents to better assist students at home and to be engaged in the learning process.

Third, RLO provides media-technology resources that support teaching and learning, as well as prepare students for information access and information use in a 21st century global society.

Lastly, RLO provides additional safety and reduces physical limits of the classroom, making it possible for teaching and learning to continue during COVID-19 restrictions.

As a technological advancement in the school district, RLO has made an unprecedented impact in the lives of students, teachers, staff, and the community during an unprecedented time in our history!
